Beaver Island Marathon and Half Marathon presented by the Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce and Sponsored by McDonough's Market the Beaver Island Boat Company. The “Beaver Island Marathon” is a nature lover’s dream race!
Getting to Beaver Island is an adventure in itself. You will take either a 2 hour cruise on the Beaver Island Ferry or fly to the island with one of the local airlines. Transportation cost are not included in the registration fees.
“Beaver Island Marathon” Logistics
The Beaver Island Marathon and Half Marathon is a destination race and runners should plan on vacationing on Beaver Island with their families. To arrive on Beaver Island requires a 2 hour very picturesque boat ride or a 15 minute flight; both options depart Charlevoix, Michigan. Runners will need to make their own reservations. The boats and planes will fill fast so consider calling soon. Identify yourself as a Beaver Island Marathon participant. The phone numbers is:

Flights to Beaver Island
Flights to the Island are available and Beaver Island runners will receive special round-trip-rates. On September 4, 2010 (race morning) there will be availability beginning at 6:00AM or earlier as needed. However, please be advised that there is a risk the airlines may not be able to fly because of low visibility. It remains the participant’s responsibility to arrive at the race site by 7:00AM and race fees are not refundable. Once on Beaver Island ground transportation will be available. This is a 15-minute flight and a 15 minute transport to the race site. There are two airlines serving Beaver Island.
